Membre globetrotter du collectif E-KLOZIN’ passant par l’Australie, la Thaïlande et plusieurs villes de France, South Funk possède un registre à dominante House à la fois deep, groovy et mélodique, cependant il sait muscler ses sets quand l’occasion se présente. On le retrouvera le samedi 10 juillet prochain pour un événement inédit au Stade Charlety : E-KLOZIN’ STADIUM !
French electro DJ since 2004 who belongs to the underground scene. Active member of E-Klozin ‘since 2011, his sets always deliver an exclusive and special atmosphere to the crowd. Globetrotter at heart, he had the chance to play in very beautiful places, notably at his beginnings on the island of Ré (west of France), Melbourne and Sydney between 2012 and 2013 as well as in Phuket from 2018 to 2020.
Currently back in France, he continues to participate in the various projects of E-Klozin ‘, his Krew de Coeur based in Paris who organizes and participates in the development of parties and projects highlighting the social link and sharing around the electro music in the capital and its surroundings.

Il y en a beaucoup ! Mais je suis retombé sur celui-là y’a pas si longtemps et c’est le genre de son Old School qui te donne facilement la banane le matin.

Pour la petite anecdote, j’ai vécu 2 ans en Thaïlande dernièrement et j’ai pu assister à la toute première Circoloco organisée là-bas, c’était en 2019 à Phuket. C’est là que j’ai découvert le DJ Producteur Serge Devant car il faisait partie du Line Up et ce son qu’il a co-réalisé avec Sabb est vraiment une pépite.

For the record, I recently lived in Thailand for 2 years and was able to attend the very first Circoloco organized there, it was in 2019 in Phuket. This is where I discovered the DJ Producer Serge Devant cuz he was part of Line Up and this sound that he co-produced with Sabb is really dope.

La musique trop mélancolique n’a jamais été trop mon truc mais j’ai un son que j’aime particulièrement avec beaucoup de profondeur qui me vient en tête tout suite. On sort un peu du registre dansant mais il fait bien planer.
Real melancholic music has never really been my thing, but I have a sound that I particularly like with a lot of depth that comes to mind right away. Not really dancing but makes you high easily.

Le son, le clip, j’adore tout ! En fait je crois que je suis toujours amoureux de la blonde (avant qu’elle se transforme) et de la brune du clip.

Pareil y’en a plein, celui-ci je l’ai écouté la première fois sur l’album After FG Vol.2! C’est plus tout jeune lol. Une basse lourde mais en même temps un coté hyper happy Soul qui plait à tout le monde ! Un classique du monde House.
A track that I always love to hear, that I first listened to on the album After FG Vol.2! Not so young now lol. A heavy bass but at the same time a really happy Soul side that appeals to everyone! A classic of House Music.

Alors comme je t’ai dit, les tracks mélancoliques n’étant pas mon truc à la base, je vais plutôt te mettre un track qui me rend mélancolique tout court quand je l’écoute car il me rappelle une excellente époque de soirées Parisiennes notamment dans les temples House qu’étaient le Redlight et le Studio 287. J’y ai beaucoup usé mes semelles de chaussures ! Seul les VRAIS connaissent.

Pas facile car avant je jouais principalement Deep House, aujourd’hui je suis beaucoup plus large tout en restant dans le spectre House voir même un peu Techno.
Alors je ne dirais pas depuis mes débuts mais en tout cas depuis qu’il est sorti en 2013. Quand je joue Deep House c’est vrai que j’ai toujours un super retour du crowd avec ce remix.
Not easy because when I started I played mainly Deep House, today I’m much wider while staying in the House spectrum and sometimes some Techno too.
Not since I started out Djing but at least since it came out in 2013. When I play Deep House, I always have great feedback from the crowd with this track.

Je peux pas le poster ici sinon je vais plus surprendre personne, je peux juste dire qu’il est plus techno que celui-ci.

Alors là on sort complètement de l’electro mais sur cette question c’est ce qui me vient tout de suite à l’esprit. Pour la petite histoire, je suis originaire de l’île de Ré quand j’étais jeune je sortais beaucoup dans un Club généraliste là-bas (entre autres) et ça c’était le son qu’ils passaient tous les soirs avant de fermer à 5h du mat. Petit moment nostalgique. Les Rétais de ma génération connaissent tous.
So here we are completely out of electronic music but on this question that’s what immediately comes to mind.
For the record, I’m from Ile de Ré, an Island in France and when I was young I went out a lot to a generalist club there (among others) and that was the very last sound every night before they close the Nightclub. Nostalgic moment.
My friends from there all know this sound.
