Ekonopolis alias Michaël BARBA is the guitarist & DJ of ItinéraireBis. In constant search of new musical sounds, it was in the House that he found his haven.
2017.
After holding the “Viaduc” collective with friends, Ekonopolis tries to reach a largest public through many Parisian clubs and parties such as “Le Petit Bain”, “le Batofar”, or “la Nuit de L’Essec”…
With Boys Noize, Jeremy Underground or La Mamie’s, he made hundreds of people dancing with him.
2018.
With studios “La Canopée“ he’s setting up a festival in this well-known jazzman’s and rocker’s lair. It’s on the set of “Romain Play” & “Mezigue” that he meets the second half of his shock duo, BASSI.
We see him playing with many collectives like “La Vryche House”, “De La Groove”, “Parallele”… while investing in new locations such as “Nuit Fauve”, “Nuba” or “Le Garage” ; which will be his favorite thanks to the aura released by the Seine in the early morning of summer.
It’s in the Rotonde, the current residence of the parties “Attrape Rave” that they have, with Bassi, made the bet to provide quality, melodious and rhythmic closings. A challenge still being met to this day.
Influences.
With a background as a metal / post punk musician, Eko seeks, through a multitude of electronic music styles, the maximum of new and original sounds in order to enrich its culture and refine its sets.
This music lover is not only found in music but also in the technique to produce surprising and nervous sets.
